Satellite Ships encourage digital, scientific and technological training of the population - Beth Santos/City of Rio The Municipal Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (SMCTI) is accepting applications for more than 2.800 vacancies in February for several free technology and entrepreneurship courses and workshops. The courses available at Naves Satélites and Navezinhas Cariocas include Artificial Intelligence: from history to everyday practice; Uncovering ChatGPT; Mastering Windows, MacOS and Linux; Building a digital resume and portfolio; Basic IT; Excel for work; Logical reasoning; Creating presentations with AI; Notions of 3D modeling and printing, among others.
– Investment in education and technology is essential to ensure digital inclusion and the qualification of young people and adults for the job market. This is a way to change the lives of students and their surroundings – said Tatiana Roque, Municipal Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation.
The three Naves Satélites are open to the general public from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 17 pm, and on Saturdays, from 8 am to 12 pm. The Navezinhas Cariocas are open from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 17 pm. All units have a space with computers for free internet access, with guidance from a user support team.
