The traditional street groups Laranjada Samba Clube, from Laranjeiras, and Badalo, from Santa Teresa, will parade this Sunday (February 11) to pay tribute to the street cleaners of Comlurb. With the theme “Oranjada is the greatest cleaner”, the group, which has been in existence for 02 years, will hold its parade in the morning on General Glicério Street. A street cleaner couple, Rinaldo Gusmão and Jurema Santos, will represent the category as the second master of ceremonies and flag bearer of the group. The t-shirt, designed by artist João Burle, designer and illustrator in Communications at Comlurb, was inspired by those who work hard to keep the city organized and are essential in organizing the largest popular festival in the world.
Badalo, with 52 years of history, will be taking the theme Warriors of the Marvelous City to the hills of Santa Teresa starting at 15 pm, praising the work of those who make Comlurb the largest cleaning company in Latin America. The street cleaners Miss Laine dos Santos and Joana Feliciano were chosen as Queen and Princess of the group, respectively. Five other street cleaners will parade as muses: Maria das Graças da Costa, Thais Faustino Cêda, Ellis Lima, Natália de Oliveira and Elisangela Gomes.
