Clean Beach Challenge Campaign goes to Piscinão de Ramos and Barra de Guaratiba Beach

Over the weekend, Comlurb held another stage of the Clean Beach Challenge, an awareness campaign that encourages bathers to dispose of waste correctly on the city's beaches. The first stop was at Piscinão de Ramos, in the North Zone, on Saturday (9/3). This Sunday (10/3), it was the West Zone's turn to receive the contagious joy of the Company's awareness team, with an event at Barra de Guaratiba Beach.

With good humor, jokes and lots of music, the street cleaners instructed visitors to throw their trash in the containers provided by Comlurb. Those who agreed to participate in the activity and successfully completed the challenge, placing the trash correctly in the bins, received gifts made especially for the campaign, such as a beautiful reusable bag.

The games were animated by street cleaner Renato Sorriso and the Chegando de Surpresa group, which is made up of street cleaners and uses music in awareness campaigns.

The collaboration of beachgoers is essential to facilitate and speed up the work of the street cleaners when cleaning the beaches, not only by disposing of waste correctly in containers, but also by creating the habit of dismantling the nets where sports are practiced, making it easier for the beach tractors and compact cleaning machines that turn over and remove impurities from the sand.

The Clean Beach Challenge campaign began last week at Posto 9 in Ipanema and at Praia do Leme. On Friday (8/3), the team was at Praia da Barra da Tijuca, near Posto 3. Throughout the month of March, the campaign will visit several beaches in Rio.
