The Jacarepaguá Subprefecture worked with the Department of Social Welfare and Comlurb in Cidade de Deus. Disclosure / Rio City Hall The Jacarepaguá Subprefecture carried out an integrated action with the Municipal Department of Social Assistance and Comlurb at two points in Cidade de Deus, under the Linha Amarela Viaduct and on Rua Antonieta Campos da Paz, where there is a homeless population and users of illicit and licit psychoactive substances, such as alcoholic beverages.
– This is work that is being carried out in partnership to provide dignity to all vulnerable residents – explained the deputy mayor of Jacarepaguá, Talita Galhardo, who personally accompanied the work of the teams.

Comlurb carried out cleaning work and began to tidy up the area. 3,2 tons of urban solid waste were removed from both locations. Comlurb also began to recover the degraded area, placing materials that would otherwise be discarded in the landfill, such as tires and pallets.
Several homeless people were assisted by the social assistance team at the Daniela Perez Social Reintegration Center. 11 referrals were made, one was welcomed, and 40 snacks and masks were distributed.
The action was supported by the Municipal Guard and the 18th Battalion of the Military Police.
