Comlurb announces changes to its garbage collection routine in the New Year

Garbage collection by Comlurb will have its schedule changed - Rio City Hall Comlurb informs that household and selective waste collections will be changed, exceptionally, on New Year's Eve, to allow street cleaners the opportunity to celebrate the date with their families.
Home collection
Nighttime household collection on streets in the South Zone (excluding Copacabana), Center, Port Zone, North Zone and West Zone will be brought forward to 15 pm on 31/12.
In Copacabana there will be no night collection on 31/12. Collection will take place on January 1st (Sunday), starting at 21 pm.
Selective collect
All nighttime selective collection on 31/12 (Saturday) will be brought forward to the same day, starting at 15 pm.
It is important that everyone collaborates by placing trash and recyclable materials for collection close to the time the Comlurb truck arrives. This will prevent waste from being left on the street unintentionally, which could result in fines for the offender. Comlurb distributed information cards to residents door-to-door about the changes.
