Comlurb announces changes to the routine of household and selective waste collection during Christmas and New Year's.

Comlurb has prepared a special schedule for household and selective waste collection for Christmas and New Year's Eve throughout the city. On December 24th and 31st, collection times will be exceptionally brought forward to allow sanitation workers the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with their families. The company requests the cooperation of the population in placing garbage bags at the collection points at the planned time. Comlurb has been distributing informational cards door-to-door to residents about the changes.

Home collection:

With the change, the nighttime household waste collection throughout the city will be brought forward to 15 pm on December 24th and 31st.

Only in Copacabana, the nighttime household waste collection scheduled for December 31st will be moved to January 1st, starting at 7 am.

However, household waste collection at night on January 1st will continue as normal.

Selective waste collection:

All of the city's nighttime selective waste collection on December 24th will be brought forward to the same day, starting at 15:20 PM. There will be no selective waste collection on December 31st, and on January 1st the routes will be carried out normally.

It is important that everyone collaborates by placing trash and recyclable materials for collection close to the time the Comlurb truck arrives, thus preventing waste from being left on the street unduly, which could result in a fine for the offender.
