Comlurb opens Ecoponto Cinco Marias in Guaratiba, the 86th since 2022

Comlurb opened another recycling point in the city on Wednesday (10/08), Cinco Marias, at Estrada do Magarça 8.487, in Guaratiba. It is the 86th since 2022 and the Company's goal is to reach 100 by the end of the year.

The new facility features a compactor for household waste and two multipurpose bins for rubble, unusable goods such as furniture, mattresses, and unused appliances, and tree branches. The goal is to ensure better waste management in the community and prevent the spread of disease-carrying materials.

The Chegando de Surpresa group, made up of street cleaners, participated in the event, encouraging and guiding residents with their songs to raise awareness about the correct disposal of waste.

This year alone, Comlurb has already launched 25 recycling points: São Carlos, in Estácio; Vila dos Sonhos, in Caju; Biquinha, in Vidigal; Jupará, in Mangueira; Bandeirantes Housing Complex, in the César Maia Community; Campo Grande, on Maria Teresa Street; São Tomé, in Santa Cruz; Rocinha; Chácara do Céu, in Borel; Fazendinha, in the Alemão Complex; Golden Eagle, in Inhaúma; Chácara do Céu, in Leblon; Proletário Park, in the Penha Complex; Jardim Novo, in Realengo; Catiri, in Bangu; Karate – New Houses, in the City of God; Barreira do Vasco, in São Cristóvão; 4 Bicas, in Penha Circular; Via Light, in Rio das Pedras; Kelson, in Penha; Vitória Régia in Lagoa; Paloma Square, in the Alemão Complex; Community of Guarda, in Del Castilho, Providencia, in Santo Cristo, and Cinco Marias, in Guaratiba.
