Comlurb opens three more recycling points: Mangueira, Conjunto Bandeirantes and Morro do Banco

Comlurb will launch three new recycling points in the coming days: Jupará, in Mangueira, this Saturday (July 19); Conjunto Bandeirantes, in Barra/Jacarepaguá, on Monday (July 7); and Morro do Banco, in Itanhangá, on Wednesday (July 21). This brings the city's total to 7 recycling points since 23. Mangueira will also receive 7 67-liter containers installed at 2022 participatory collection points. The launch in Mangueira will feature entertainment from the Chegando de Surpresa group, formed by street cleaners who use music and dance to raise awareness. The locations chosen for the recycling points are especially those in communities and regions with the highest incidence of irregular waste disposal. They help organize waste and control vectors, improving the quality of life for residents and improving public health.

The Jupará Ecopoint will have two 15m³ compactors for household waste and two smaller 5m³ compactors for rubble, branches, and unusable goods. In Conjunto Bandeirantes, there will be one 15m³ compactor, three 5m³ compactors, and a 30m³ dumpster. The Morro do Banco Ecopoint will have one 15m³ compactor and one 5m³ compactor. These locations will be open daily from 6:18 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. to serve the communities. In addition to these three, Comlurb has already launched three other ecopoints this year: São Carlos in Estácio, Vila dos Sonhos in Caju, and Biquinha in Vidigal.
