Comlurb installs two more recycling points, reaching 71 across the city since 2022

Comlurb installed two more recycling points this Thursday (August 7th) in the city: the Rocinha Ecopoint on Rua do Valão, and the Chácara do Céu Ecopoint on Borel. The Chegando de Surpresa group, made up of street cleaners who sing awareness-raising songs, and street cleaner Renato Sorriso participated in the inaugurations. The company now has 8 recycling points in operation since 71, throughout the city.

The Rocinha Ecopoint – Rua do Valão has a 15m³ compactor for household waste and two smaller stationary bins (5m³) for rubble, branches, and unusable goods, such as furniture and appliances. The Chácara do Céu Ecopoint – Borel will have a 7m³ compactor and two others for rubble, branches, and unusable goods. Both locations will be open from 6:18 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.

In addition to these two, Comlurb has already launched eight other recycling points this year alone: São Carlos, in Estácio; Vila dos Sonhos, in Caju; Biquinha, in Vidigal; Jupará, in Mangueira; Bandeirantes Housing Complex, in the César Maia Community; Campo Grande, on Maria Teresa Street; São Tomé, in Santa Cruz; and Chácara do Céu, in Leblon. The locations chosen for the installation of recycling points are especially communities and regions with the highest incidence of irregular waste disposal.

Ecopoints help organize waste and control vectors, improving the quality of life for residents and improving public health.
