Operation foresees installation of 150 containers for the correct disposal of waste Comlurb launches this Sunday (July 27th) the Clean Fair, a mega-operation to collect and manage waste generated by the Glória Fair, held every weekday in the neighborhood. The operation will be ongoing throughout the event. The company will maintain a base on site, with a compactor to serve as a transfer station for the generated waste, streamlining the removal service. 07 containers will be installed at various points throughout the event, including Praça Paris, where the fair's food court is now located, for exhibitors and attendees to dispose of their waste properly.
These actions go beyond the routine cleaning work already carried out by Comlurb at the city's open-air markets after events, which includes sweeping the entire area and surrounding areas, as well as power washing with recycled water. The company asks for the vendors' cooperation in ensuring that waste is properly disposed of in containers or plastic bags to facilitate the work of street cleaners and further expedite the cleaning service and the delivery of the sites to local residents.
