Comlurb carries out awareness campaign on Ipanema Beach

The event will be attended by street cleaner Renato Sorriso and the group Chegando de Surpresa - Comlurb/Disclosure Comlurb is holding another awareness campaign on the beaches this Friday (January 31) and Saturday (February 01), this time focusing on Ipanema Beach, on the stretch between Rua Farme de Amoedo and Posto 01, which has been a major challenge for the cleaning team due to its history of irregular waste disposal. The event is part of the Clean Beach program, which marks the Company's reinforcement of its activities on Rio's coastline during the summer.
The action will take place from 15 pm to take advantage of the arrival and departure of bathers, and will feature the participation of street cleaner Renato Sorriso and the Chegando de Surpresa group, who with good humor, jokes and lots of music, guide visitors to throw their trash in the containers provided.
Since December, the company has been reinforcing its cleaning service with the Clean Beach operation, carried out every year in the summer, with an increase in the number of street cleaners and more work shifts. The company has made around 5 containers available at strategic points along the city's coastline, including access roads and passages, including large-capacity containers for coconut disposal to encourage beachgoers to dispose of their waste correctly.
The Company appeals to bathers to use the containers correctly when leaving the beach in order to ensure faster cleaning and a summer with cleaner beaches.
