Comlurb team removed a ton of waste from outside Copacabana Fan Fest - Rio City Hall Comlurb collected a ton of trash while cleaning the entire exterior and entrances of the Brahma FIFA Fan Festival Arena, set up in Copacabana, near Avenida Prado Júnior, after the game between Brazil and South Korea, held on Monday (5/12). The cleaning of the internal area of the arena is the responsibility of a private company. To date, 3,5 tons of waste have been removed from the exterior of the four games played by Brazil in Copacabana.
The work included manual sweeping, mechanized sweeping, collection and removal of waste, including on the sand, boardwalk, bike path, lanes on Avenida Atlântica and access roads. Among the vehicles and equipment used were a compactor truck, a large sweeper, and beach cleaning tractors with rear attachments to sift the sand, as well as a water tanker. In addition to the 300 containers fixed along the entire stretch of sand on Copacabana Beach, the Company made another 80 containers available at the entrance to the Arena.
