Tijuquinha community received awareness campaign from Comlurb this Friday

Comlurb, in partnership with the Barra da Tijuca Subprefecture, carried out another awareness campaign on the correct disposal of waste this Friday morning (14/03), this time in the Tijuquinha community, in Itanhangá, West Zone. The Chegando de Surpresa group, formed by street cleaners, walked through the streets of the area, singing songs with educational lyrics on the theme of environmental awareness.

During the event, the team spoke with residents and merchants, offering guidance on the correct way to dispose of waste, preventing it from being left on public roads.

Always in a good mood, the agents reinforced the importance of respecting the community's home collection times and warned the population not to throw waste on the slopes or streets. This way, everyone contributes to the cleanliness and speeds up the work carried out by the street cleaners. The collection in Tijuquinha takes place from Monday to Saturday, in two periods: from 5 am to 10 am and from 16 pm to 19 pm, and on Sunday, from 5 am to 9 am.

In addition, every Wednesday, until 8 am, Comlurb promotes “Bota Fora”, an action in which residents can discard unusable goods, which will be collected by the Company.
