Comlurb street cleaners, writers and poets present themselves at the Book Biennial

Photo: Disclosure/Comlurb Three street cleaners, writers and poets from Comlurb will participate in the Book Biennial, which begins this Friday (June 13), in Rio de Janeiro. The three will perform on Friday, June 06, from 20:06 pm to 14:15 pm, at the SME stand at the event, in Pavilion 2. Maria da Graça Pimenta Ribeiro, a street cleaner at a school in the West Zone, has worked at Comlurb for 22 years and will launch her poetry book “Respeita minha história” (Respect my story). Gracinha, as she is known, participated in the poetry contest of the Municipal Department of Education (SME) and had her poem selected and included in a book. She received the award from the Brazilian Academy of Letters.
Bruna Maria Gomes was awarded the 2024 Literary Highlights award by Novos Sabores Publicações Publishing House for her poem “Leoa Improvável”. The street cleaner, who has been with Comlurb for 18 years, works as a cleaner at Lourenço Jorge Hospital and is studying Literature at UniRio. Bruna will talk about her next work, “Amor Poético”, a collection of several female writers, in which the street cleaner participates with the poem “Química do Amor”. Writer Valdeci Boareto, a school street cleaner who has been with Comlurb for 25 years, is participating in the Book Biennial for the second time. The first time was for the launch of the book “Comportamento Que Te Salva”. This time, Valdeci will launch the children's book “Garizinho Tódi e o planeta”.
