Ipanema Beach hosted two days of awareness campaign by Comlurb

Since December, Comlurb has been reinforcing its cleaning service with the Clean Beach operation - Disclosure On Friday (31/1) and Saturday (1/2), Comlurb held an awareness campaign on Ipanema Beach, on the stretch between Rua Farme de Amoedo and Posto 9, which has been a major challenge for the cleaning team due to the location having a history of irregular waste disposal. The event was part of the Clean Beach program, which marks the reinforcement of the Company's activities on Rio's coastline during the summer.
The action took place from 15pm onwards to take advantage of the arrival and departure of bathers and featured the fun participation of street cleaner Renato Sorriso and the Chegando de Surpresa group who, with good humor, jokes and lots of music, guided visitors to throw their trash in the containers provided.
Since December, Comlurb has been reinforcing its cleaning service with the Clean Beach operation, carried out every year in the summer, with an increase in the number of street cleaners and more work shifts. The Company has made around 5 containers available at strategic points along the city's coastline, including access roads and passages, including those with a large capacity for disposing of coconuts to encourage beachgoers to dispose of their waste correctly.
Comlurb appeals to bathers to use containers correctly in order to ensure faster cleaning and a summer with cleaner beaches.
