City Hall carries out new special cleaning operation in Jacarezinho

Joint action by the Subprefecture of Large Complexes and Comlurb is focused on the most critical areas of irregular waste disposal - Disclosure Rio City Hall, through the Subprefecture of Large Complexes and Comlurb, is carrying out this Saturday (13/09) the third phase of the special action to reinforce regular cleaning in the Jacarezinho Complex.
According to the deputy mayor of Grandes Complexos, Marlí Peçanha, the goal is to improve the quality of life in the region and raise awareness among residents about the importance of depositing their waste in the correct place.
– These are actions that make the streets cleaner, more organized and prevent the proliferation of vectors that transmit diseases — said the deputy mayor, highlighting that they were installed
Recently, around 150 large-capacity trash containers were placed in the community. "It's also up to residents to do their part by not throwing trash outside the dumpsters," he added.
The operation is focused on the most critical areas of illegal waste disposal. The first and second phases of the general cleanup in the community were carried out on September 4th and 5th.
In total, around 100 street cleaners were mobilized for services such as sweeping, weeding, grass cutting, waste removal, hydraulic washing of streets with recycled water and tree pruning.
The initiative was planned based on a dialogue with local community leaders and also has the support of the Local Executive Management (GEL) of Jacarezinho.
