Vacation School Project takes street cleaner Renato Sorriso to activities at a school in Gávea

Credit: Comlurb/Disclosure The André Urani Municipal School, on Estrada da Gávea, was the stage for the second day of activities of the Escola de Férias project this year, a partnership between Comlurb and the Municipal Department of Education. The street cleaner Renato Sorriso, an emblematic figure of Rio's Carnival, interacted and played many games with the children. And the Chegando de Surpresa and Teatro de Portas Abertas awareness groups, both made up of street cleaners, performed a short play, with a lot of good humor, to show the students, from an early age, the importance of throwing trash in the trash can.
The project will take place between January 6th and 17th and aims to offer students a safe space, with food, games and varied workshops, ensuring that they have a different experience during the school holidays. Registrations must be made on the website of the Department of Education (https://multirio.rio.rj.gov.br/edf/apresentacao.php). The program is carried out during school holidays and is in its third year. Awareness-raising activities will also be carried out in eight other municipal elementary schools in the next two weeks.
On this Wednesday (08/01), the project will be at the Assis Chateaubriand Municipal School, on Visconde de Santa Isabel Street, 272, in Vila Isabel.
