West Zone receives two more recycling bins from Comlurb

Comlurb delivered two new recycling points in the West Zone this Friday (15/12). Both, located on Estrada de Jacarepaguá, were installed to serve the residents of Rio das Pedras and will operate daily, from 6 am to 18 pm. The Curva do Pinheiro recycling point is located at number 4.460 and has a 15 m³ closed compacting box for household waste, and two 5 m³ open stationary boxes for receiving rubble, useless goods and branches. The Pinheiro recycling point is located at number 3.502 and has two 15 m³ compacting boxes for receiving household waste and two other 5 m3 open stationary boxes for rubble, useless goods and branches.

With these two new points, Comlurb has launched a total of 18 this year. The forecast is that a series of units will be opened by the end of December, totaling 25 in total. In 2022, 22 ecopoints were created. This Saturday (16/12) another unit will be opened in the West Zone, the Ayrton Senna ecopoint, near Assaí.

Comlurb is renovating and installing new recycling points in several areas of the city, especially in areas with the highest risk of irregular waste disposal and in communities. In this way, the Company ensures that previously degraded locations now have organized disposal points, with regular removal carried out by trucks. In addition to being essential for organizing waste, recycling points help control vectors and improve public health.
