Launch of the “Cultiva Cultura” program - Disclosure/City Hall The City of Rio, through the Municipal Department of Culture (SMC) and the Municipal Urbanization Company (RioUrbe), is launching the “Conserving Culture” program, via a Bidding Notice published in the Official Gazette this Wednesday (22/9). The objective is to contract ongoing corrective and preventive maintenance services for 41 SMC facilities. The last time there was building maintenance for cultural facilities was in 2016.
“Conserving Culture” also aims to develop the following work stages: inspect, organize, plan, manage, monitor, control, execute (indirectly), among others. The service execution period is one year.

These are cultural facilities of different ages and construction types, ranging from buildings listed as Historical Heritage to cultural tarps with different types of finishing materials used in their composition. They are museums; theaters; cultural centers; libraries; Rio de Janeiro arenas; small arenas and cultural tarps.
Proposals must be submitted in person on October 13th at 10:14 p.m. to the RioUrbe headquarters, located at Largo dos Leões, number 30, bidding meeting room, 15th floor. An internal committee of at least three City Hall employees will select the best proposal. The investment is approximately R$8 million. Information on the website rio.rj.gov.br/web/smc/.
