List was published in the Official Gazette this Friday (1st) - Disclosure/City Hall

The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Culture, has released the preliminary results of the selection phase of the Rio Carnival Culture Notice. The list was published in the Official Gazette this Friday (1st). The program will make R$3 million available to 125 groups representing Rio's street carnival. 339 applications were received.

Unsuccessful bidders may file an appeal from October 4th to 6th, until 10:23 p.m., submitted in accordance with the Appeal Submission Form (ANNEX 59), through an online form, available at the link https://forms.gle/FmrTQzTE657inDU77.

The call also aims to encourage the creation of new products and content by carnival groups. The selection process will be based on three lines: Origins, Sound and Aesthetics.

Origins: A video with a mini-documentary profile about the group's history or a memory recording project. 50 groups will be awarded R$30 each.

Sound: Completed musical track, with an original/unreleased composition or an arrangement of a composition traditionally performed during Carnival. 40 groups will be awarded R$20 each.

Aesthetics: Groups must make an original costume or accessory. 35 groups will be awarded R$20 each.
