With costumes, floats, and props and a samba theme composed by students and teachers from the municipal school system, approximately 1.600 children and young people, ages 6 to 18, from 35 schools of the City Hall, will parade on Marquês de Sapucaí this Carnival. Next Tuesday (5/3), at 18 pm, the Grêmio Recreativo Cultural Escola de Samba Mirins Corações Unidos do CIEP will take to the Sambadrome the theme “De canto em canto, o Brasil dá o tom”, a portrait of each Brazilian state and region and their musical traditions, showing the differences and cultural characteristics on the avenue. The parade is by the Grupo de Escolas de Samba Mirim and admission is free. Last year, the school of the City Hall won the awards for best theme and best evolution from the Associação das Escolas de Samba Mirins do Rio de Janeiro.
The event is a project by the Municipal Department of Education to provide an unforgettable experience for students in the municipal education system. At 16 pm, children and teenagers will gather in front of the 1st and 2nd Child, Youth and Elderly Courts, on the corner of the Sambadrome, in downtown Rio. On the day of the presentation, March 5, 3 schools will be parading.
