The Secretariat for Healthy Aging and Quality of Life (SEMESQV), in partnership with Hemorio, is launching the Connected with Love blood donation campaign. The goal is to replenish the institute's blood supplies, which fell 30% during the winter months. According to Hemorio, one donation can save up to four lives. The opening event will be on September 3rd, from 10:16 am to 4:5 pm, in the courtyard of the São Sebastião Administrative Center (CASS), bringing together activities focused on blood donation and raising awareness about intergenerational solidarity. On September 10th and 16th, the campaign will continue on a mobile basis at the Naná Sette Community Center in Rocinha and the Padre Velloso Community Center in Botafogo, also from XNUMX:XNUMX am to XNUMX:XNUMX pm, maintaining the goal of mobilizing the population with affection and citizenship.

"This campaign stems from SEMESQV's commitment to promoting life, care, and empathy between generations. Donating blood is donating love. Invite your friends and family and help spread this transformative initiative," emphasized Felipe Michel, Secretary of Healthy Aging.

In addition to the blood drive, the launch will feature public guidance services: Procon-RJ, with a service center to answer questions about seniors' rights and consumer relations; Poupatempo, with support in issuing and renewing documents, as well as information on rights and benefits.
