Partnership between Rio City Hall and MUDE opens open-air gym in Ipanema

The gym will offer several free activities until February 26, 2023 - Disclosure Last Saturday (17/12), the Rio Academia Amstel Ultra 2023 was inaugurated at Posto 10, in Ipanema, in the South Zone. This is yet another partnership between the City of Rio and MUDE, the largest wellness media platform in the world. In 2021, the two parties had already formed a successful partnership that installed outdoor, stainless steel gyms along the coast and in the city's main squares.
In addition to the enchanting views that only Rio has, the venue will also offer outdoor activities, free exercises, and a fully equipped gym until February 26, 2023. The public will also be able to enjoy yoga, footvolley, beach volleyball, muay thai, mat pilates, adapted functional training, boxing, slackline, beach cycle, fit dance, cross dance, cross training, wolf fit, and inner balance classes. By the end of the event, there will be more than 600 free classes, 30 public services, and 100 professionals involved, including teachers and staff. Classes are scheduled through the Mude app and have qualified instructors.
For the Secretary of Sports, Guilherme Schleder, the partnership only brings benefits to the city.
– I am very happy that the Rio de Janeiro City Hall and MUDE are once again partnering. Now we have a great gym, open-air and with a paradisiacal view of Ipanema beach. A wonderful place for everyone to practice sports and, best of all, it is completely free. To top it off, our city also collects 20% of the advertising revenue. In other words, we have health, well-being and investment for the people of Rio. I thank Mayor Eduardo Paes and MUDE for their commitment. Let’s go all out to create another sports facility in our Marvelous City.
According to Mude CEO Marcus Moraes, the project aims to improve people's quality of life.
