Olympic Villages open four thousand places for sporting activities

Skateboarding class in Rio's Olympic Village - Disclosure Four Olympic Villages are opening registrations this Tuesday (14/02) for new students to practice sports activities. There are approximately four thousand free spots available at the Gamboa; Artur da Távola, in Vila Isabel; Jorginho da SOS, in Alemão, and Félix Miéli Venerando, in Honório Gurgel. Available activities include stretching, ballet, basketball, soccer, water aerobics, judo, muay thai, swimming, pilates, skateboarding and volleyball. The facilities also have spots available for activities for people with disabilities. Classes are held from Tuesday to Friday, with guidance from professionals.
– We are increasingly making more spaces available in our sports facilities. We aim to reach the largest number of people practicing physical activities in the city and we hope that everyone can enjoy this opportunity – said the municipal secretary of Sports, Guilherme Schleder.
Registrations are made in person at the unit secretariats, where it is possible to check all available activities. Registrations continue until all vacancies are filled.
The documents required for registration for people over 18 years of age are: medical certificate and copies of ID, CPF and proof of residence. Those under 18 years of age must present copies of their ID card or birth certificate, ID and CPF of the guardian, proof of residence and proof of school attendance. All those over 12 years of age must present an up-to-date Covid-19 vaccination record.
