Taxpayers can make payments via PIX using payment slips issued on the Carioca Digital portal - Archive/Rio City Hall The Municipal Department of Finance and Planning warns of the existence of a website that tries to pass itself off as the portal Carioca Digital to issue false IPTU payment slips.
Criminals use a visual identity similar to the official portal in order to scam taxpayers. The fake address used by criminals is https://cariocarjrio.org.
The Rio City Hall, the Municipal Finance and Planning Department and the Rio Municipal IT Company (IplanRio) have already taken appropriate measures to have the domain cancelled, in addition to reporting it to the police authorities.
The only address for Carioca Digital, the Rio City Hall's service portal, is: https://carioca.rio. Taxpayers can also access the service through the Carioca Digital app, available in the Google and Apple stores.
