João Goulart Foundation Institute launches the Inova Public Management Award
Published on 07/03/2024 - 13:09 | UpdatedThe João Goulart Foundation Institute launched the Inova Gestão Pública Award. Registration began on March 1st, in celebration of the anniversary of the City of Rio de Janeiro. The award, a first for the City of Rio, will be divided into three categories: Innovative Proposals; Innovations Implemented in Organizational Processes; and Innovations Implemented in Services or Public Policies.
Public servants from the City of Rio will be able to register and compete for the prize worth R$8.000,00 per team, in addition to other bonuses, such as trophies and a place in training courses offered by the João Goulart Foundation Institute, if their initiatives become winners in each category.
The award recognizes public servants who dedicate themselves to rethinking daily activities through innovations, with a focus on generating improvements that contribute to increasing the quality of services provided to the population. The competition is also an opportunity to recognize and publicize projects carried out by public servants in their work departments, in addition to stimulating a virtuous environment for the creation of innovative initiatives.
The evaluation criteria were published on February 16th and the announcement of the stages and awarded public servants will be made through the FJG Institute's communication channels.
The winners of the Inova Gestão Pública Award will participate in an awards ceremony held by the João Goulart Foundation Institute. The participation of employees from current departments, agencies and foundations is important for the City Hall to recognize the diverse talents that are applying good practices in public management in Rio de Janeiro and also to publicize the employees' ability to achieve their goals.
– The Inova Gestão Pública Award is an investment and recognition of the intellectual capital of Rio de Janeiro’s public servants. In a context of complex challenges, being creative and innovative is not just nice, it is a basic skill that requires commitment to creating solutions for the demands of the population, with finite resources and issues that need to be addressed by the government – said the president of the João Goulart Foundation Institute, Rafaela Bastos.
The stages and dissemination of the Inova Gestão Pública Award will be made on RepertóRio (repertorio.rio/).
