There were 45 arrests for crimes such as robbery, theft, and receiving stolen goods - Disclosure/Municipal Force Agents from the Elite Division of GM-Rio – Municipal Force made 45 arrests for crimes such as robbery, theft, and receiving stolen goods during the extended holiday weekend (May 01st to 03rd), including the detention of a minor, the seizure of a pistol; in addition to three cell phones, four motorcycles, and a bicycle from the rental system.
The actions were carried out during preventive and overt patrolling in the areas of operation of the Municipal Force (Bus Station x Gentileza Terminal x Leopoldina; Jardim de Alah; Av. Presidente Vargas, Central do Brasil, Campo de Santana, Cinelândia; Station x Campo Grande Pedestrian Mall; Afonso Pena x São Francisco Xavier).

Teams from the Municipal Force seized a pistol during an operation carried out on Saturday (02/04), near Rua Mariz e Barros, in the North Zone. During the patrol, the agents spotted an individual driving a motorcycle in the wrong direction, while locals shouted "catch the thief," indicating a possible robbery.
Given the situation, a tactical encirclement was carried out, at which point the suspect fell off the motorcycle. The team made the arrest, using handcuffs, and during the search, a pistol with one round of ammunition was found, in addition to a wedding ring, a necklace, and a cell phone.
Subsequently, still at the scene of the incident, a victim came forward and reported that the suspect had just stolen his motorcycle and belongings, using a firearm to threaten him. The perpetrator was taken to the 18th Police Station, and the victim's belongings were recovered and returned.
Also on Saturday, in the South Zone, during policing in the Jardim de Alah area, Municipal Force teams were called by the doorman of a residential building after a minor tried to enter the building without authorization, claiming to visit an apartment whose resident said she did not know him.
Upon noticing the approaching officers, the minor attempted to flee, discarding an object during his escape. After being apprehended, it was determined to be a screwdriver, possibly used for burglaries.
The minor was apprehended and taken to the 14th Police Station. According to information from the police unit, he was allegedly a member of a criminal organization specializing in burglaries in condominiums in the South Zone.
