The Elite Division of GM-Rio – Municipal Force will have its training enhanced with the following requirements: Physical Aptitude Test (TAF) every six months and continuous training of 120 hours per year, with 40 hours dedicated to firearms training. The 600 agents will undergo the TAF, with specific evaluations for men and women, according to different age groups. The continuous training will include practical firearms firing activities and periodic performance evaluations.

The ongoing training of the Municipal Force is divided into modules focused on improving the technical, operational, and institutional skills of the officers. The program includes the subjects of Integrated Operational Practices, Qualified Operational Responses, Criminal and Territorial Analysis, Evidence-Based Public Security, Protection Networks: Referral and Guidance, Public Management and Planning, as well as Professional Conduct and Institutional Culture.

The Special Secretariat for Urban Security presented yesterday the results of actions carried out since the beginning of preventive and visible policing in March: agents counted 650 arrests for crimes such as robbery, theft, and receiving stolen goods. During the same period, 114 cell phones and 102 motorcycles were seized.
