João Goulart Foundation Institute opens registration for the 3rd edition of the Server Festival this Wednesday

The João Goulart Foundation Institute is accepting applications this Wednesday (September 17th) for the 9rd edition of the Public Service Festival, which will offer new training opportunities. The Festival celebrates Public Service Day, which is always celebrated on October 3th. Throughout the month, more than two thousand spots will be available for online and in-person training, including courses and lectures on essential topics for those working in public management or who want to learn more about the field.

This year's edition of the Civil Service Festival will once again be divided into four thematic areas: Basic Management, Management Improvement, Management and Cross-Cutting, and Carioca Leadership. To reinforce the initiative's lighthearted and dynamic atmosphere, these areas will be symbolically referred to as "stages," evoking the atmosphere of a true festival. The themes were designed to stimulate strategic thinking and practical application in public administration.

The Civil Servant Festival is an initiative to promote public knowledge and was created to expand access to training and go beyond institutional competencies. Meeting the growing interest of municipal and state civil servants seeking training and development with the João Goulart Foundation Institute is also one of the Festival's missions.

But it's also important to inspire new audiences to take an interest in public causes and to admire public servants and public service. These actions demonstrate this administration's commitment to strengthening the city's capacity through the people who build public service every day. In line with this vision, the João Goulart Foundation Institute reaffirms its mission by placing public servants at the center of transformations, solidifying the conviction that investing in those who serve is investing in the entire population of Rio," said Rafaela Bastos, president of the João Goulart Foundation Institute.

The program will offer a variety of training sessions to develop soft and hard skills—both behavioral and technical—with a focus on communication, management, and leadership. The goal is to enhance management practices and inspire professional development, reaffirming the João Goulart Foundation Institute's commitment to contributing to effective public administration.

The Festival is open to civil servants from the Líderes Cariocas Program, civil servants and managers from Rio de Janeiro City Hall and across the country, and university students. Training will be available throughout the month, with openings and registration details announced on the João Goulart Foundation Institute's communication channels.

The thematic areas:

– Basic Management: public procurement at the municipal level, public policies and ethnic-racial equity, the role of managers in promoting inclusion, the role of departments in financial flow, LGPD in public procurement and process management.

– Improvement in Management: introduction to exploratory data analysis with Excel 365, artificial intelligence in practice, the use and presentation of data for public policies, female self-leadership.

– Management and Transversality: emotional intelligence in Public Management, social networks in the career of public managers, financial education and its social implications, prevention and confrontation of sexual and moral harassment in Public Administration and empathetic communication.

– Carioca Leadership: planning and executive presentation techniques, complex decision-making through a multi-criteria approach and introduction to risk management.
