In preparation for the summer, bottom cleaning services and preventive repairs to equipment were carried out. - Disclosure The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the Rio-Águas Foundation, concluded the annual maintenance of the Piscinão de Ramos, in the North Zone, this Tuesday (19/11), and the salt lake is full again to receive locals and tourists. In preparation for the summer, cleaning services were carried out on the bottom and preventive repairs were made to equipment.
– The Ramos Pool is ready for the summer. We stop this operation every year to perform necessary maintenance services. We continue working on the Piscinão treatment plant, which operates year-round, ensuring the quality of the water in this beloved leisure area of the city – highlighted the president of the Rio-Águas Foundation, Wanderson Santos.
The Rio-Águas Foundation is responsible for treating the salt lake water, which is done in partnership with the concessionaire Águas do Rio. 30 million liters of water from Guanabara Bay supply the lake and are treated daily at the Piscinão de Ramos Water Treatment Plant. The water quality is constantly monitored.
– After a brief period of maintenance, the Piscinão de Ramos is being refilled again so that the local public can once again enjoy this leisure space, even before summer arrives – highlighted the deputy mayor of the North Zone, Luiz Miranda, recalling the importance of the Piscinão de Ramos for the region.
