Municipal Guard takes action against traffic irregularities in downtown Rio

The Rio de Janeiro Municipal Guard carried out a special inspection operation this Friday (September 26th) to curb traffic irregularities and illegal parking in the city center. During the operation, 21 vehicles were fined for various violations, such as parking in prohibited areas and obstructing public roads.
The irregularities were caught on Rua Santa Luzia and Largo da Misericórdia, areas with a large flow of pedestrians and vehicles, where failure to comply with traffic regulations often causes disruption to urban mobility and the safety of pedestrians.
