The Rio Municipal Guard (GM-Rio) carried out Operation Tatuí on Copacabana Beach, in the South Zone, in the early hours of Sunday (29/12). The action is one of the preventive measures focused on urban planning and security for New Year's Eve 2025.

Teams from the Special Beach Group (GEP) covered the entire length of Copacabana Beach to Leme to prevent irregularities. They had the support of teams from the Mobile Tactical Group (GTM).

During the inspection, four water hoses, 18 chairs and 19 bottles of alcoholic beverages were seized, the sale and consumption of which are prohibited due to the high risk of accidents. The municipal guards also cleared 15 campsites and seized three camping tents and 18 knives.
