This Sunday, the 14th, municipal guards acted in two separate incidents in the South Zone of Rio, involving the recovery of a vehicle with a theft report in Copacabana, and the escorting of four parking attendants to the police station in Catete.

In Copacabana, a team from the Public Order Unit (UOP) located a vehicle with a theft report parked on Rua Raul Pompéia, near number 14. The officers were conducting preventive patrols and urban security actions in the area when they spotted the car with signs of a collision on the front bumper. After checking the license plate in the Autua System, it was confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen.

Faced with the situation, the municipal guards went to the local police station to file a report, and there they found that a theft had already been reported. Subsequently, a tow truck was called to remove the vehicle, which was then taken to the city's impound lot.

In Catete, a team from the Special Operations Group (GOE) took four parking attendants to the local police station after catching them operating illegally around the Feira da Glória market. The incident was registered at the area's police unit.

The Rio Municipal Guard (GM-Rio) has been intensifying preventive actions to regulate traffic and improve urban security throughout the entire Glória Fair area and its surroundings, including Rua Teixeira de Freitas and Praça do Russel, since March 30th.
In Sunday's operation alone, 28 traffic tickets were issued during enforcement actions carried out in the region.
