Municipal guards apprehend three teenagers and arrest a man for assault and attempted robbery in Engenho de Dentro

Municipal guards from the 15th Inspectorate (Méier) and guards who are part of the Joint Prevention Strategies Program (CEP) of the Public Order Secretariat (Seop) apprehended three teenagers aged 14 and 15 and arrested an 18-year-old man, suspected of assaulting and attempting to rob two friends aged 22 and 24, on Amaro Cavalcante Street, near the walkway that gives access to the Nilton Santos Stadium, in Engenho de Dentro. The action took place on the evening of this Friday (16/2).

Teams from the 15th IGM were responding to a call from Central 1746 in the region and witnessed a disturbance involving the suspects, who were fleeing, being followed by the victims.

The guards detained the group and, during the approach, found a woman's bag with two cell phones, R$897,00 and a small amount of marijuana on one of the members.

After being recognized by the victims, the group was taken to the 25th Police Precinct (Engenho Novo), where the case was registered as attempted robbery, in accordance with article 157 of the Penal Code and possession of drugs for personal use (article 28 of Law 11.343 of 2006). The teenagers were sent to the Child and Adolescent Protection Department (DPCA). The money, the two cell phones found with the group and the marijuana were seized at the police station.
