Municipal guards work to rescue a disoriented man on the edge of the Francisco Bicalho canal

The man was disoriented on the edge of the canal on Avenida Francisco Bicalho - Rio City Hall Guards from the Dog Operations Group (GOC) worked to assist and rescue a man who was found disoriented next to the canal on Avenida Francisco Bicalho, in the Leopoldina region, on Friday morning (17/2). According to the agents, his legs were in the stream and he showed signs of drunkenness, as well as bruises on his knees. The agents provided first aid and the man regained consciousness, but he was still unable to provide any details about why he was there. He said he was a military man and the guards managed to contact his coworkers. The GMs also called a SAMU team that was passing by the location and the man was taken to the Souza Aguiar Municipal Hospital.
– Several people passed by the place, in cars and on foot, and they didn’t stop to help the citizen. Here, we spared no effort to help, it could have been a soldier or a homeless person. There, he was in an imminent risk situation, as he could have fallen into the stream, drowned and died. Fortunately, we passed by and provided assistance. This makes us very happy – highlights municipal guard Bruno Almeida, who participated in the action.
