Municipal guards rescue dog from the bush in Barra da Tijuca condominium

Municipal guards from the Environmental Defense Group (GDA) rescued, on the morning of this Friday (21/6), a wild dog that invaded a condominium in Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone. The teams were called by an employee of the condominium. The animal, which appeared to be in good health, was rescued and taken to the veterinary school of Estácio de Sá University, in Vargem Pequena, also in the West Zone.

Regarding the rescue of wild animals in urban areas or in any risky situation outside their habitat, the Municipal Guard advises the population to make calls by calling 1746, the Rio City Hall telephone number, which operates 24 hours a day.
