Municipal guards rescue dog from Maracanã River canal

Municipal guards from the Special Traffic Group (GET) rescued a dog from the Maracanã River canal on the morning of Friday (16/9). The agents are monitoring and inspecting traffic on Maracanã Avenue. They spotted the dog, which was curled up on a mound of dirt in the canal. The animal was wearing a collar and leash, which were broken.

The dog did not resist being removed from the location. After the rescue, she was taken to the municipal guards' operational base in Vila Isabel, where she received treatment.
