The turtle rescued in the Marapendi Canal had an injury on its shell - Rio City Hall A team from the Maritime Guard (GM-Rio) rescued an injured turtle this Sunday (3/12) in the Marapendi Canal, in Barra da Tijuca. The action was carried out by the agents, responding to requests from the population. Upon arriving at the location, the municipal guards helped the animal, which had an injury to its shell, and called for specialized assistance.
Teams from the Beach Monitoring Project and the Green Sea Project took the turtle to receive veterinary care.
