Ronda Maria da Penha acts in three occurrences of non-compliance with protective measures

Municipal guards from the Maria da Penha Patrol responded to three incidents of non-compliance with protective measures involving women in the West, North and Center Zones of the city. The first incident occurred on Tuesday night (18/02) in Bangu. The victim, already assisted by the Maria da Penha Patrol, reported that the suspect approached her house armed with a pickaxe. Frightened, she called the teams, who arrived at the scene, but the suspect fled upon noticing the arrival of the agents.

The victim was rescued and taken to the 34th Police Precinct (Bangu), where she filed a report. Upon returning home, she found her ex-partner near her residence. The teams were called again, arrested the suspect and took him to the 34th Police Precinct, where the case was filed under the Maria da Penha Law.

In the early hours of this Wednesday (19/02), on Ilha do Governador, in the North Zone, the teams helped a woman who asked for help after her ex-partner tried to approach her on Guanabara Beach. When the agents arrived, the suspect fled, and the victim was taken to the Women's Police Station (DEAM), in the Center, to report the breach of the protective measure.

Still at the police station, another woman reported having been assaulted by her ex-partner. Although she was initially attended to by military police, municipal guards provided support, accompanying the victim to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) for a forensic examination.
