Iapetec Ramos will undergo renovations, through the Conjunto Maravilha program - Fabio Motta/City of Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes, Infrastructure Secretary Jessick Trairi, and Rio-Urbe President Rafael Salgueiro announced this Friday (13/5) the arrival of new infrastructure works in the Ramos neighborhood, in the city's North Zone. The renovation of Camaçari Square and the Iapetec Ramos Housing Complex will be carried out through the Conjunto Maravilha program.
The 42 buildings in the Iapetec Ramos residential complex will receive plastering and painting services on the walls, railings and gates. The roofs and gutters of the 85 apartment blocks will also receive care from Rio-Urbe teams, as will the water tanks, which will undergo waterproofing and painting services. In addition, the structure of the pillars and canopies of the complex will be restored.
The multi-sports court at Praça Camaçari will be completely renovated. Both the floor and its markings will be repainted. The fence will be refurbished, with a covering screen installed. Rio-Urbe will also install new sports equipment, exercise equipment and toys for children. Street furniture will also be installed, and the existing furniture in the square will be restored and painted.
– The renovation work on the Iapetec complex and Praça Camaçari were long-standing demands of the residents of Ramos. We heard their demands and today we are here to bring you the long-awaited news that these improvements will, in fact, happen – said the president of Rio-Urbe, Rafael Salgueiro.
The works on the Iapetec Ramos Housing Complex and Praça Camaçari are currently under bidding. The City Hall is investing around R$9,3 million and the expected completion date is 10 months.
