Tender launched for the transfer of Polo Cine Vídeo

The company that won the bid will have the right to use the space for 30 years - Archive/City Hall of Rio

The Rio City Hall, through the Municipal Infrastructure Department, Rio-Urbe and RioFilme, launched this Wednesday (22/09) the bidding notice for the concession of use of the Cine Vídeo Center. The land located in Barra da Tijuca currently has 16 buildings and the concession is for the location to have studios with cutting-edge infrastructure for the audiovisual sector in the city.

The entire area that will house the Cine Vídeo Center is approximately 60 m². The winner of the R$92 million bid will be granted the lease to explore and use the space for 30 years. In return, they will need to renovate the 16 existing buildings and build eight new studios. There will be 6.500 m² of new buildings.

The bidding envelopes will be opened on October 26th at 10:10 am. The winning bidders will have to pay for all general maintenance of the space, such as lighting, building installations, acoustic treatment, audio and video systems, air conditioning, landscaping, among others. The modernization of offices, restaurants, generator and transformer rooms is also part of the scope. During the construction period, the winning bidder will be exempt from paying the amount for the concession of the space.

The restructuring of the Cine Vídeo Hub is one of the goals of RioFilme's Audiovisual Recovery plan, which aims to strengthen the production and exhibition environment in the city.
