Luz Maravilha: Cidade do Samba gains new lighting system with LED lamps

Luz Maravilha, which this week reached the milestone of installing 225 new lights in Rio, has just modernized Cidade do Samba, located in the Port Zone. The headquarters that houses the samba schools' warehouses received 159 points with LED technology lights. The lights were placed at points such as the entrance to the complex, passing through the central square, including the covered area, the streets and also the upper floor of the parking lot.

In addition to installing the new LED lights, maintenance work was carried out on the public lighting around Cidade do Samba and the two lighting totems that supply the complex were inspected. Rioluz also installed sirens, similar to those used at Marquês de Sapucaí, which will mark the beginning and end of the parades that will take place in Cidade do Samba this weekend.

Cidade do Samba is the largest arts and entertainment complex in the country and an important tourist hub for our city.
