The Rio de Janeiro City Hall has completed the renovation works at the Cardeal Câmara Residential Condominium in Irajá, in the North Zone. The services were carried out through the Conjunto Maravilha program, coordinated by the Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure and the Municipal Urbanization Company (Rio-Urbe). With an investment of R$ 3,4 million, the intervention covered an area of over 16 square meters and brought important improvements to the daily lives of approximately 640 residents, making the spaces safer, more organized, and more pleasant. The residential complex has 10 blocks, each block with four floors and four apartments per floor.

The work began with the removal of old and damaged structures, such as parts of the party hall and the playground. This stage paved the way for the overall renovation of the condominium, with repairs to the buildings, roofs and common areas, as well as the painting of the facades and walls, which gave the space a new look.

Improvements were also made to the structural aspects, such as the restoration and cleaning of the water tanks and reservoir, ensuring better conditions for use. The floors were restored and the spaces received new paint, including graffiti interventions that help enhance the environment.

In the final phase, the teams focused their work on the recreational areas, which were completely revitalized. The playground received new toys, artificial turf, and fencing. The sports court gained new equipment, such as goalposts and basketball backboards, as well as a new coat of paint. The party hall was renovated and received a new roof, making it more comfortable for residents.

Conjunto Maravilha continues to bring infrastructure and improved quality of life.

Since 2021, the Conjunto Maravilha program has completed 40 projects in housing complexes in the North and West zones and has another six underway. The initiative focuses on the recovery of common areas in low-income housing units in the municipality, with improvements ranging from the requalification of facades, roofs and plumbing systems to the revitalization of leisure spaces, such as sports courts, playgrounds and party rooms.
