Rio de Janeiro City Hall holds preventative workshop on reporting data security incidents.

Through the Municipal Secretariat of Integrity and Transparency (SMIT), the City Hall of Rio promoted, this Friday (July 3), a workshop on Communication of Personal Data Security Incidents, aimed at those in charge of data processing in the municipality and members of the privacy and data protection committees.

During the training, participants received guidance on the procedures to be followed in case of security incidents involving personal data, focusing on strengthening preventive actions and improving the institutional response.

The workshop is part of the training program for data protection officers and is included in the Municipal Program for the Protection of Personal Data, aligned with the General Law on the Protection of Personal Data (Law No. 13.709/2018). The initiative aims to ensure compliance with the legislation, disseminate best practices, and strengthen the culture of data protection within the municipal administration.
