The Youth Center of the Center offers 500 places for courses and workshops

The Special Secretariat for Rio de Janeiro Youth (JUVRio) is accepting applications for 500 free courses and workshops at the Casa da Juventude do Centro (Youth House in the Center). The initiative aims to provide opportunities for training, leisure, and cultural expression to the city's youth, with activities ranging from beauty to sports, communication, and technology. New for the month of October is the modeling workshop, which begins on October 10th.

Available courses include: Libras, Makeup, Hair Braiding, Barbering, Nail Design, IT, Boxing, and Samba. Classes begin this Monday (October 6th) and will last 30 days, with a 32-hour workload and certification. Each class holds up to 30 students, with meetings held twice a week. Registration will remain open while spaces last.

The Youth Center is located at Rua Camerino, 28, in Gamboa, Centro.

New Youth House workshop

One of the new features of this edition is the "Star Frame" workshop, led by fashion, events, and advertising producer Chris Klegin. Focusing on posture, runway, and personal presentation techniques, the activity will begin on October 10th and will be held on Fridays in four three-hour sessions.

The opportunities are open to all young people, with no prior experience required. All you need is a willingness to learn and participate. Registration is open and ongoing, and can be completed online. Online.

The Youth Houses

The Youth Houses project seeks to strengthen the human and civic development of young people, with an emphasis on defending human and social rights. The initiatives include individualized support and consolidated activities in areas such as Culture, Leadership, Income Generation, Citizen Participation, Cognitive Development, and Leisure, benefiting 97.038 young people at the Centro and Pavuna units.
