Vila Queiroz Station is the 106th to be renovated in the BRT system

Work at the station ended on Tuesday night and it reopened on Wednesday morning - Disclosure Mobi-Rio reports that Vila Queiroz station, in Madureira, is the 106th station renovated in the BRT system since March 2021, when the City of Rio took over its management. Work on the station ended on Tuesday night (28/2) and it was reopened to passengers on Wednesday morning (1/3). With the delivery of Vila Queiroz, which had been set on fire last year, all 45 stations in the Transcarioca corridor have been revitalized.
Improvements include replacing glass panels and doors with hollow steel sheets; built-in wiring and armored door mechanisms. The following services were also carried out: internal and external painting, new electrical installations and improved lighting.
