City hall reopens Pedra de Itaúna station after renovation

Pedra de Itaúna is the 114th BRT station renovated since March 2021 - Rio City Hall Mobi-Rio announces the reopening of the Pedra Itaúna station in Barra da Tijuca this Sunday afternoon (28/5). This is the 114th station to be renovated since March 2021, when the Rio de Janeiro City Hall took over management of the BRT system. In addition to revitalizing the station, work was carried out to replace the pavement of the exclusive BRT lane in that section of the Transoeste corridor.
The renovation of Pedra de Itaúna station followed the standard previously adopted in the others in the system, replacing glass doors with hollow steel sheets, embedded wiring and doors with automatic locks and armored mechanisms.
