The decrees establishing the mandatory vaccination against Covid-15 for access to a series of establishments and for service in some services come into effect this Wednesday (09/19). The measures were published in the Official Gazette on August 27.

Proof of immunization will be required in establishments and places of collective use, such as gyms, stadiums and sports halls, cinemas, theaters, museums, galleries and art exhibitions, conventions, conferences, among others.

Vaccination will also be a condition for people to undergo elective surgeries in the public and private networks; and to be included in or maintain access to the Cartão Família Carioca Program.

Proof of immunization can be provided by digital certification from the ConecteSUS platform, or by presenting proof of vaccination or a paper vaccination card when entering public spaces or in other cases. The number of registered doses required must be in accordance with the vaccination schedule for the city of Rio at that exact time.
