The Rio City Hall, through the Sub-Secretariat of Health Surveillance of the Municipal Health Department, closed down two party houses in Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone, on Sunday night (11/10). The action of the night convoy, integrated by the Municipal Department of Public Order and the Municipal Guard, focused on compliance with health protocols and the rules of the plan to resume economic activities.

Rio de Janeiro City Hall issues over a thousand traffic fines and closes two establishments during inspections during the holiday weekend
The Rio City Hall, through the Sub-Secretariat of Health Surveillance of the Municipal Health Department, the Secretariats of Finance and Public Order and the Municipal Guard, inspected bars, gastronomic centers, beaches and other points of large concentration of people, such as the area around the Novo Rio Bus Station, between the night of Friday (09/10) and the holiday this Monday (12/10). The objective was to maintain urban order in the city and ensure compliance with the measures adopted in the plan to combat Covid-19.

Lourenço Jorge Hospital promotes blood donation campaign with the goal of collecting 100 bags
The Municipal Health Department will resume the blood donation campaign at the Lourenço Jorge Municipal Hospital. The action will be carried out at the unit itself, in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone, on October 14, from 10 am to 15 pm. Lourenço Jorge, which already received the Hemorio award last year as the Outstanding Unit in relation to the number of bags collected, is running low on stocks and there is a risk of shortages, since, due to the new coronavirus, it has not been possible to carry out the action until now.

Municipal Health Department updates number of beds for Covid-19 and occupancy rate in the capital's SUS network
The Municipal Health Department reports that the municipal network is currently carrying out the absolute majority of Covid-19 care, as state and private hospitals have closed beds dedicated to treating the disease.
It is also important to highlight that the City of Rio is the only one that maintains a field hospital – the one at Riocentro – in operation, since units from other spheres did not even reach full operation – and that, recently, private partnerships with the government of the State of Rio demobilized field hospitals.

Comlurb promoted more special cleaning operations in communities
Comlurb carried out more special sanitation operations this Monday (12/10) in several communities in the city. The initiative, which began in Rocinha on 9/4 and aims to reduce the risk of contamination by the new coronavirus, has already been extended to all 633 communities in the city. The cleaning is done with reused water and neutral detergent, and hypochlorite in the sprayers.
