Education hosts this Wednesday (14/10) live from the Sinta o Som program in honor of Teachers
The Municipal Department of Education will hold a special live broadcast on YouTube on Wednesday, October 14th, at 10:15 p.m., in honor of Teachers' Day, for all teachers in the Municipal Education Network. The broadcast is hosted by the “Sinta o Som” program, an initiative that offers educational technology to SME teachers and shares creative educational strategies using music and art to strengthen student learning. The live broadcast will present the program's activities and launch animations, in addition to providing a moment of interaction between the city's teaching professionals. Currently, “Sinta o Som” has 7 participating teachers.

Environmental patrol rescues alligator in backyard of residence in Tanque
The Rio City Hall, through the Municipal Guard and the Municipal Secretariat of the Environment, carried out this Tuesday (13/10) the rescue of an alligator measuring approximately 2 meters in the backyard of a house in the Tanque neighborhood, West Zone of Rio.

Rio City Hall offers virtual audio classes for students from the Municipal Education Network
The Municipal Department of Education is launching new audio content this Wednesday, October 14, for students in the Municipal Education Network to continue learning and staying informed even during social isolation. Since classes were suspended in March, the department has been working to implement measures to ensure that students continue to be connected to their school routine. Through the SME Carioca 10 teaching platform and the Escola.Rio app — which have already been accessed more than 2020 million times — students in Elementary School, Youth and Adult Education, and those enrolled in flow correction projects can now access exclusive audio lessons, by grade level. The material is recorded weekly by teachers from municipal schools in the City of Rio and published on these platforms, always on Mondays.

City Hall demolishes car wash, irregular building and wall on public land in Abolição
The Municipal Department of Public Order (Seop) carried out another joint action against illegal car washes on Tuesday, October 13, this time in Abolição, in the North Zone, where one of these irregular establishments had its structure demolished. With the support of Cedae and the Military Police, the municipal teams also demolished a building and 10 meters of wall built illegally on two City Hall lots, removed an illegal water connection, and collected 180 tons of solid waste.

In-person services resume at three Reference Centers for People with Disabilities
The Municipal Department for People with Disabilities and Technology will resume in-person services at the Reference Centers for People with Disabilities (CMRPD) in Campo Grande, Vila Isabel and São Conrado this Tuesday, October 13th. Opened in August, the CMPRD in Mato Alto has already been providing this service to families.

Holiday: Seop removed 47 vehicles around Quinta da Boa Vista
The Municipal Department of Public Order (Seop) removed 47 vehicles for illegal parking around Quinta da Boa Vista, in São Cristóvão, this Monday, October 12, Children's Day. The teams from the Seop Parking and Towing Inspection Coordination had the support of the Municipal Guard and the 10th Military Police Battalion. Most of the cars occupied the lawns in the external area of the park.

Municipal Health Department updates number of beds for Covid-19 and occupancy rate in the capital's SUS network
The Municipal Health Department reports that the municipal network is currently carrying out the absolute majority of Covid-19 care, as state and private hospitals have closed beds dedicated to treating the disease.
It is also important to highlight that the City of Rio is the only one that maintains a field hospital – the one at Riocentro – in operation, since units from other spheres did not even reach full operation – and that, recently, private partnerships with the government of the State of Rio demobilized field hospitals.

Comlurb promoted more special cleaning operations in communities
Comlurb carried out more special sanitation operations this Tuesday (October 13) in several communities in the city. The initiative, which began in Rocinha on April 10 and aims to reduce the risk of contamination by the new coronavirus, has already been extended to all 9 communities in the city. The cleaning is done with recycled water and neutral detergent, and hypochlorite in the sprayers.
